Recipients of the Nyota Uhura Medal of Courage have demonstrated above average levels of activity over a sustained period of time, usually combined with dedication to their Feet position. It is given to those who have provided exemplary service to their role, whether that is leading a Task Force, assisting in the work of a department or contributing to various projects. This award is nominated by a Task Force Commanding Officer or higher.
