Andreus Kohl's Rank Record

  • Promoted to Captain

    • When reviewing Brendan’s record I did a double-take. Why, I asked myself, flummoxed, does this exemplary member of our esteemed organisation not hold the rank of Captain? Could it be that this bastion of brilliance, this pillar of literary prowess, is somehow unqualified to possess the fourth pip to which so many of us have aspired over the years? A cursory glance at the achievements of this titan among us would indicate that nothing could be further from the truth.

Brendan has shown us the true meaning of being an involved, dedicated and fun member of our big happy fleet. His contributions to making everything tick have been varied and far-reaching. First and foremost, his service as Executive Officer of Task Force 17 has been no less than exemplary throughout his eight month tenure. Brendan has been consistently keen, upbeat, and has never shied away from getting his hands dirty with the nuts and bolts of task force management. His impact has been huge, from collaborating with Task Force members on new plots, characters and dramatic twists, to planning out an engaging storyline for the recent Blood Dilithium campaign. He has really run the entire gamut of task force management.

There is far more to what Brendan does, however, to make him such a model citizen of the fleet. I am full of admiration for the patience, attention to detail and good will that he consistently displays within the community. He has time for everyone, and has dedicated many, many hours to reading through our members’ fictions. His legendary comments have bolstered all of our writing confidence. His joint writing projects have been productive, engaging and extremely entertaining. Not to mention the shining examples of great writing he has produced in his stories for the USS Dvorak, and later USS Sarek!

Brendan is now at the beginning of his journey as Academy Staff Assistant, and I’m sure it’s going to be a long and fruitful one. All the help and positive input he has poured into the #stories channel so far is proof that he is a perfect fit for the job. The combined force of his and David’s oversight is sure to propel the quality of Bravo Fleet Academy education where no online community has gone before.

It behooves me to note the magnitude of the awards Brendan has received since being promoted to Commander on 12 June, 2022, as if more indications of Brendan’s worthiness were needed. A Star for Distinguished Service marks some seriously heavyweight activity contributions made back in October, followed by the Rachel Garrett Order of Heroism in late July. The latter represents some truly exceptional efforts Brendan made on behalf of Task Force 17 in the Sundered Wings fleet action, making him one of only six people to have been awarded this prestigious accolade. Finally, in recognition for another herculean effort in the Blood Dilithium campaign, both in terms of planning out the plot and fanning the flames of activity with an incredible commenting effort, comes his most recent award in the form of the Jonathan Archer Order of Merit. All of these medals represent truly remarkable levels of fiction writing output, competition participation and placement; diving headfirst into the essence of what Bravo Fleet is. It’s because of people like Brendan that this place can be such a cathartic online experience, projecting 25th Century ideals onto a 21st Century internet.

It’s been a long road, getting from there to here. But Brendan, the time of your Captaincy is not even finally near. It’s here! To say this is well deserved would be the understatement of at least the year. Congratulations!

  • Promoted to Lieutenant Commander

    • Every member of Bravo Fleet has their own journey through the fleet, starting that first day when they join and get the rank of cadet freshman grade. As they progress, they hit a number of milestones and today, Kellin Rayco has hit a very special one. The one that elevates him from the title of junior to senior officer.

Kellin Rayco has earned at least 10 duty ribbons and 15 service ribbons for their wonderful fictions. They have at least 5 character bios (10) in the BFMS, and were recently awarded the Meritorious Service Cross. Kellin has also been very active in the many competitions the fleet has to offer, recently placing in 3 earning 2 Action Medals with Galaxy Clusters for placing first in the Stormbreaker Starbase Bravo Duty Ribbon Race and Biographies competitions and one with a Star Cluster for second in the Stormbreaker Planetary Trivia.

It is with great pleasure and honor that I recommend Kellin for promotion to Lieutenant Commander with all of the rights and privileges that come with that rank! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you and your characters. I look forward to seeing your adventures and your continued activity in the fleet. Congratulations!

  • Promoted to Lieutenant

    • I can say without a doubt, that members as active as Tumaini Calumn (Brendan) have been will go places. As one of Task Force 72's most active members, he is a shining example for all new cadets that follow in his wake. I have watched as he has flown right past each milestone, and it has now come a time for the next one in his journey.

For earning at least 12 Service Ribbons, listing three (3) characters on BFMS, creating a well developed biography for his character Lieutenant Andreus Kohl and reaching level 6 on Bravo Fleet's Discord server in addition to his level of activity outlined in his recent Meritorious Service Cross, I am pleased to nominate Lieutenant Junior Grade Tumaini Calumn for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant.

  • Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade

    • Having been in this hobby for something approaching two-hundred years, I am rarely surprised anymore. I have, however, been surprised by how quickly Ensign Tumaini Calumn (Brendan) is proving themself to be a considerate, enthusiastic, and positive addition to our community. Given that we don't do things the way traditional RPG fleets do them, there can sometimes been stumbling points in new members' uptake, but Brendan has taken to Bravo Fleet like a fish to water.

For earning at least 8 service ribbons, for producing an exemplary and well-developed bio (Ensign Elegy Weld), and for reaching at least level 5 on the Bravo Fleet Discord server, I am very pleased to nominate Ensign Tumaini Calumn for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. Congratulations, Lieutenant!
