Henry Maxwell's Rank Record

  • Promoted to Captain

    • The upper echelons of service in Starfleet cannot be better exemplified than the rank of captain, which is borne by many of the most iconic and important characters in Star Trek. Indeed, this is the highest rank achievable through pure activity alone for most members, so it is a milestone to be celebrated. For their high levels of personal activity, Commander Vakai has been recognized twice since their field promotion to their current rank on August 14th, 2021. They earned the Jonathan Archer Order of Merit on September 26th, 2021 and the Star Cross on December 17th, 2021. As is necessary to reach these higher ranks, Vakai’s contributions range across several different area of the fleet. Since their last medal, this has been clear through competitions, fiction writing, gaming, and solo writing. For participation in competitions, Vakai earned two Action medals, one with a Star Cluster and one with a Moon Cluster. They were especially prolific when it came to service ribbons on their personal fictions, earning 131 service ribbons for 32,729 words of fiction written! (For reference, this is just a little bit shy from C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, The Witch, the Wardrobe at 38,421 words.) Joint writing was also well-represented in their dossier with twenty duty ribbons for twenty joint posts. They also earned two campaign ribbons for maximum level characters in Star Trek: Online, and twenty-six combat action ribbons for various joint gaming activities in Among Us, CAH, and RISK. It is also worth mentioning that nearly all of our members must be familiar with Vakai because of their contributions on our Discord server, which are similarly spread across multiple areas just like their activity is. In objective terms, Vakai is one of our most active members. For the activity listed above and recognized already through his two most recent medals, I am pleased to nominate Commander Vakai for promotion to the rank of captain, effective immediately. Congratulations, Captain!

During his tenure as Task Force Executive Officer, Commander Vakai has been enthusiastic about getting involved with the Task Force and reaching out to new members to engage with them and make their first impressions of the Fleet a positive one. His willingness to engage with others, his dedication to the community, and his desire to be involved are all important aspects that make him deserving of the rank of Captain. It is for these reasons that I happily add my recommendation for Cmdr. Vakai to be advanced to the next higher grade. Congratulations, and keep up the fantastic work.
