Ed’s been in Bravo Fleet for a lot longer than me; eleven years if the service ribbons he has accrued are anything to go by. During the short portion of that time I’ve known him for in the TF86 Discord, he has been an excellent source of fun, good ideas and great writing. Seriously, check out the SS Warden stories (https://tinyurl.com/8ytx78f7) - they’re a cracking read.
Since his last promotion on 23 April, 2020 Ed has been consistently active, earning seven service ribbons, a Starfleet Medal of Commendation, an Action Medal with Planet Cluster, an Action Medal with Star Cluster, and two Starfleet Silver Stars.
Most notably, Ed is the proud owner of thirteen (yup) Raptor’s Wing Challenge Coins from our previous fleet action back in June, 2020. It’s certainly worth mentioning that he placed 5th overall in this event, proving he has some serious competitive grit and is ready to go to bat for his home Task Force. This also brings the overall number of competitions he has participated in since the launch of the new Bravo Fleet model to a very grand total of 27! This is quite some dedication, and the level of activity over a significant time that we should all aspire to.
I know it’s not been all that easy for some of us to transition over to new ways of doing things, especially with our recent move away from the forums as our main venue for fiction writing. Ed is proof that our members’ perseverance and adaptation are a huge part of what makes Bravo Fleet the best overall Trek related thing you can do on the internet. For this reason, I’m massively pleased to promote him to the rank of Commander!
Cheers Ed, and long may you grace the TF86 Discord :)
