I am pleased to be recognising Captain Henry Maxwell (aka JShepard) again for his contributions and leadership within Bravo Fleet. Since April 4th 2022, JShep has taken on the reigns of becoming a strong force within Task Force 93 and it was great to see him take on the top spot on April 30th as the new Task Force Commanding Officer. However, we need to recognise that before this promotion, what he was doing behind the scenes for Task Force 93. Up until now, he has submitted nominations for six awards and nineteen promotions to OCS for those in his unit. JShep is always keen to help anyone out with anything they need support with. Being our newest Task Force Commanding Officer, he has got on with the work, asked for support and has taken on feedback to make improvements himself.

JShep certainly loves collaborating with his fellow members and this has been seen by him being awarded six duty ribbons, with most of these based on his involvement in the USS Altai role-playing game. However, the highlight of his writing recently comes from the adventures of the USS Sovereign, his solo fiction writing where he has gained eighty service ribbons. Fifty-seven of them were for the Fleet Action alone! In conjunction with this, he has enjoyed being involved in recent gaming nights, receiving one hundred and seventy-eight Combat Action Ribbons for this. During the Fleet Action, he entered eleven competitions and received eleven Challenge Coins. He placed in three competitions, one Gold Star, one Silver Star and one Bronze Star were awarded for his efforts.

He just loves being involved in all things Bravo Fleet which is a great attitude to have when setting the standard for other members. Though Task Force 93 came fourth in the Fleet Action and took home just under four per cent of the overall fiction, half of which was JShep’s contribution with over fourteen thousand, two hundred and fifty words, he should be proud of the effort from his unit. He engaged members through the fleet action in the Task Force 93 lounge, with reminders about what was happening and showing examples/providing support to those who were new and just starting to join in. Building relations with our members is an important and vital aspect of our leadership and I am pleased to see JShep is continuing to work on this.

For all of his efforts, activity and work, I am pleased to put him forward to receive the Legion of Merit.
