As a deserving recipient of this past year’s Starfleet Medal of Commendation round, Jonileth has shown longtime dedication to Task Force 72 and nowhere is this shown than his participation in the Echoes of the Tkon Fleet Action. During said action he participated in two competitions, picking up two challenge coins AND a bronze star representing his 3rd place win in the Omega Particle competition. Additionally, has racked up a total of 36 services ribbons representing approximately 9,000 words of fiction. These words cover Argonaut’s response to the Omega phenomenon and on the intrigue of the political maneuverings within the Cardassian Union involving Empok Nor prior to the actual events of the Fleet Action. For his dedication to Task Force 72, his involved world building on Argonaut and Empok Nor, and his welcomed participation in the last Fleet Action, it is my privilege to nominate Jonileth for the Silver Palm!

Returning to the BFA recently as TF72CO, Mark has shown exactly why he was suited for the role. Continuing his progress he started as TF72XO, Mark has continued to lead TF72 in pushing activity, developing canon along with the Lore office, and more recently ran the Sentinels of Peace event to great success. For all of his work the past few months as TF72CO, I’m proud to award Mark with a Silver Palm.

As one of the most consistent and prolific writers in the fleet, Mark has sustained a massively productive streak since the spring, earning 27 writing awards in roughly equal numbers across both posts and fiction since his last promotion in September. He is an integral component of every game he is on and had always been one of the most engaged users on our forums. On top of this, Mark has been a stellar Task Force staff member, maintaining the rolls in Task Force 72 and serving as a friendly and welcoming presence on Discord with his regular “Liberty Calls.” It is not easy to be both an active member and a staff member, but Mark manages to be one of our most active members while also going above and beyond in his Task Force, as he mentors game managers, creates canon, and helps people engaged. For going above and beyond as both a member and as a staffer, I nominate Mark for the Silver Palm.

Mark (Commodore Nathan Cowell) has hit the ground running since he came into the position of TFXO in TF38. He has been in almost constant contact with me (Rear Admiral Wegener) to help keep tabs on the sims, has given valuable council to me on TF matters, has started a newsletter of his own volition and has been very helpful in helping me put the finishing touches on the TF-wide story arc. Mark also likes to keep in touch with the Cos to ensure that they’re performing nominally. He is a self-starter and doesn’t constantly require me to tell him what to do. The man definitely has a vision and I know that, should it be required of him, he would not only take up his own TFCO position but excel at it.
