Silly musical side-plot post.

As had been predicted, the process of going song for song with eachother had resulted in both Lady and Abernathy finding a new appreciation for the others preferred form of musical stylings.

Doc Lady’s playlist had consisted of Punk rock staples like ‘Dammit’, ‘Los Angeles is Burning’, ‘Bro Hymn’, ‘Greek Tragedy’, ‘FOD’, ‘Fat Lip’, and ‘Ming Tran’. The songs that were heavy, and more metal sounding songs like ‘Bro Hymn’ and ‘Fat lip’ had actually even got Abernathy nodding his head and tapping his feet along with the songs.

“Not gonna lie, those do sound good. Now wrap your head around this beauty. This is called Broken Chains by a band called Third of Freedom. They’re all Liberated Borg who used to work under Hugh.”

He ques up the music and watches the Exocomp to see her reaction.

“Okay, yeah, nice…I think I have actually heard of this band before.” Lady said as she wiggled her foot pads in rhythm with the beat of the song.

“Didn’t they win some sort of award last year? Best live ensemble performance or some such?” The exocomp asked during the songs bridge where there was slight break in the action.

“They did. It was hugely controversial. Apparently the idea of Liberated Borg singing metal songs scares the crap out of some people.” He says laughing hysterically.

As he jokes with the Doctor, he cracks open a food ration for dinner.

“Looks like were getting a signal from the Soval. They’re sending orders to the Culver City…and it looks like we won’t be stuck here for days on end after all. They’re telling us to dock on the Culver City and report back to the Soval. Looks like we only have an hour left together, lets pick some good songs to finish off our little medley here.” The exocomp doc said.

“In that case, I know just the one.  It’s called the Klingon’s Honor. It’s about a Klingon whose Trill wife was killed by a Cardassian madman. Apparently the lead singer is the nephew of the Klingon in question.” He says as he ques up the song.

“Very operatic start. Lots of  symphonic harmonizing. I’m digging it so far.” Doc Lady admitted. While she listened she planned what song she would play next for the Lt when it was her turn to chose the song. She was leaning toward “Fly swatter” by the Punk rock super group “Door Hinge” from the late 2020s. It was always a good one.

Lucius nodded. “It’s not often you have human bands singing about Klingons but this group is mixed. The lead singer is Klingon, the drummer is human, the lead guitarist is Bolian. I have no idea how they got together but they make great music.” He looked over his instruments as he spoke. “Alright, final course for Culver City docking bay is laid in and confirmed.”

“Copy that, looks like we are second in the queue to land.” The exocomo said as she read he console.
