While en route to a cataloguing mission on the outer reaches of Federation territory, the crew of the Pathfinder respond to a medical distress call from an established remote non-Federation colony in the middle stages of development. Upon arrival, they uncover a sinister set of events that leads them on a chase to uncover xB harvesting operations. Time is not a luxury, and innocent lives are on the line.
