Juliette Yves

Captain of the USS Ranger, Commander Juliette Yves brings her background in exogeology to a ship charged with charting and surveying the under-researched regions of space on the Federation border with the old Romulan Empire. Despite a bright and chatty exterior and a proven record of scientific excellence, Yves has a troubled personal life and background that held her career progression back before the devastation to Starfleet command personnel of Frontier Day. Yves certainly brings the necessary scientific expertise to her ship and its mission, but it remains unseen if she can overcome her personal demons enough to make a good captain.
