History

Vadar Tajax was born in New York City on Earth in the year 2362 while his father was stationed at Starfleet Headquarters as part of the Personnel Admiral’s staff. When he was four years old his mother and himself moved back to Trill where he spent the remainder of his childhood. In 2373 when he was eleven his father was assigned to was one of the few ships to return to Starfleet lines after the battle near the Tyra system.

His father Darug was later reassigned to Trill when the ship was mothballed due to the immense amount of damage following the battle. It was his father’s service as well as his failed attempt to become joined that ultimately led Vadar to apply for Starfleet. In 2379 he was officially accepted and in 2380 Vadar Tajax left for Earth once more.

He graduated from the Academy as a commissioned Engineering Officer without specialization and ranked somewhere in the middle of his class. Ensign Tajax was assigned as the Engineering Officer aboard the USS Seychelles and, shortly after himself and some of his classmates went aboard the ship departed for a short range scientific expedition. His first away mission came shortly thereafter when he helped construct the camp for a planetary survey.

As much of the first two years of Vadar’s career on the Seychelles were relatively quiet he wasn’t promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade until 2386. Though three months later he was selected to fill the role of Assistant Chief Engineering Officer when the previous deputy chief transferred off the ship. Vadar would spend another three years aboard the Seychelles before he decided that it was time for a change and submitted a request for a transfer to fill the Chief Engineering Officer position somewhere else.
